The Downers Grove Choral Society usually performs three concerts of major choral works with professional orchestral musicians and outstanding vocal soloists during each season. Concerts are on Sunday afternoons beginning at 3:00 p.m. In addition to this three-concert Oratorio Series, the DGCS has an active Outreach Program that serves Downers Grove and the surrounding area (see Special Events for more information). Rehearsals for the three-concert Oratorio Series are held on Monday nights from 7:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. at the Indian Boundary YMCA, 711 59th St, Downers Grove. Members pay annual dues of $45 and purchase their own musical scores. Scores are available for purchase at rehearsals. Members are expected to participate in nonsinging activities that are necessary to sustain the Society.
